Description

Revopoint Metrox advanced 3D scanner

Discover the unparalleled precision and versatility of the Revopoint MetroX advanced scanner – an extremely lightweight device that combines a hybrid multiband laser and full-screen structured blue light to collect up to 7,000,000 points per second in the blink of an eye with an accuracy of 0.03 mm. Four scanning modes allow perfect reproduction of both flat, glossy surfaces and the most complex details, while the included turntable and intuitive Revo Scan software ensure rapid creation of 3D metrology models ready for export to CAD (Computer-Aided Design, a process that uses computer software to create, analyze, modify and document designs) or quality control. Revopoint MetroX is a tool that will take your designs to the next level and finds its way into many situations – from reverse engineering to 3D printing to prototyping. The advanced version comes with a Marker Block Kit.

Groundbreaking 3D scanning technology

The Revopoint MetroX, with its combination of a hybrid multiband laser and full blue structured light, enables professional 3D modeling of small to medium-sized objects. With as many as fourteen intersecting laser lines and seven parallel lines, as well as an impressive light structure of 62 lines, the device is capable of picking up even the most intricate details and invisible surface features, achieving single-frame precision of up to 0.01 mm and total accuracy of up to 0.03 mm. Such detailed work makes the scanner an excellent choice for any demanding user.

Versatility in one device

The MetroX model does not require a matting spray to scan glossy or black surfaces. The unit quickly captures data at up to 800,000 points per second in multi-band laser mode and up to 7,000,000 points per second in full-field structured light mode. The flexible capture area (from 160 × 70 mm at a distance of 200 mm to 320 × 215 mm at a distance of 400 mm) is ideal for both engineering studios and design offices. It is a tool that is revolutionizing the way objects are scanned.

Automation and intuitive operation

With the included automatic dual-axis turntable, the Revo Scan and MetroX system creates a digital twin of an object at the click of a button, eliminating the need for manual positioning. A four-button real-time control panel allows you to stop operation, adjust depth camera exposure and digital zoom, while the built-in RGB HD (Red Green Blue, an acronym for the three colors – red, green and blue) camera ensures accurate color reproduction in scans. With four scanning modes, you can tailor the device to your current needs to accurately reproduce what you need most.

Comprehensive Revo Scan software

Revo Scan is an extremely intuitive tool that is there to help you through the entire scanning process – from setting scan parameters, to automatic or manual point cloud processing, to editing, merging model segments and exporting to PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, 3MF, GLTF or FBX formats. Easily remove unwanted data, smooth surfaces, fill cavities and merge partial scans to create a consistent model ready for further processing in software such as Quicksurface, Geomagic Wrap or Geomagic Control. A built-in calibration wizard ensures precise and reliable measurement results.

Professional applications

Revopoint MetroX will prove its worth in reverse engineering processes, enabling the rapid generation of 3D models ready for scan-to-CAD (the process of transforming physical objects or documents into digital CAD models using 3D scanning). It will be great for quality control, where identification of defects and deviations in production can be done in a flash; incremental technology, by creating faithful digital twins of objects for 3D printing; or rapid prototyping, where accurately sized models minimize iterations and save time and resources.

Thoughtful design

The Revopoint MetroX scanner weighs just 508 g and measures 209 x 88 x 44 mm, making it extremely convenient to use. You can easily stow it in the included storage case, plus it doesn’t take up much space in your workspace. Enjoy working for hours without feeling uncomfortable with the Revopoint MetroX!

Advanced version for greater convenience

The included Marker Block Kit significantly saves time by reducing the number of markers needed when setting up laser scans or scanning featureless objects in full-field mode (a mode that uses the entire field of view of the camera to capture object data simultaneously, instead of scanning point-by-point or row-by-row). The markers are reusable and can be combined in any configuration.
