GMKtec EVO-X2 is a mini PC that offers high-level performance despite its small size. Equipped with an AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, maker of processors and graphics cards) Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, as much as 128GB of LPDDR5X (Low Power Double Data Rate 5X, energy-efficient high-bandwidth RAM) RAM and a 2TB PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) 4.0 SSD (high-speed component interconnect), it is great for creative work, gaming and office applications alike. In addition, it supports connectivity standards – WiFi 7 (Wireless Fidelity, next-generation wireless networking) and Bluetooth (short-range wireless communication technology) 5.4 – for fast and stable wireless communication.
AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor
The AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 processor used combines Zen 5 architecture with exceptional computing power. The unit offers 16 cores and 32 threads, and its maximum clocking reaches 5.1 GHz. Thanks to its advanced 4nm FinFET (Fin Field-Effect Transistor, a transistor with a gate surrounding a conduction channel) technology process and extensive cache – 16 MB L2 and as much as 64 MB L3 – the processor provides fast and smooth performance even under heavy load. Flexible TDP (Thermal Design Power, thermal power) from 45 to 120 watts (with the ability to increase to 140 watts) allows the chip to adapt its operation to different scenarios, combining energy efficiency with high performance.
AMD Radeon 8060S graphics
The integrated AMD Radeon 8060S graphics based on RDNA (Radeon DNA, AMD’s graphics architecture) 3.5 offers 40 computing units. This puts the EVO-X2 on par with RTX (Ray Tracing Texel eXtreme, a series of graphics cards with ray tracing support) 4070-class graphics cards in terms of performance, making it an ideal choice for gaming, video editing and graphic design.
LPDDR5X RAM
The GMKtec EVO-X2 uses LPDDR5X RAM clocked at as much as 8,000 MHz, operating in an eight-channel configuration. This translates into real benefits during everyday use – LPDDR5X provides as much as 90% better performance in video conferencing and photo editing, 30% more efficiency in office applications, and 14% improvement in digital content creation tasks. For comparison: older generations of memory, such as LPDDR5, LPDDR4X and LPDDR4, reach up to 5500 Mbps, 4266 Mbps and 3200 Mbps, respectively, while LPDDR5X offers an impressive throughput of up to 8000 Mbps.
XDNA 2 architecture (eXtended DNA, an artificial intelligence-based computing architecture)
The GMKtec EVO-X2 uses the new XDNA 2 architecture, which provides computing power of up to 50 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second, trillions of operations per second), with a maximum potential of up to 126 TOPS. It’s a solution designed for tasks based on applications such as MidJourney, ChatGPT, and Google AutoML (Automated Machine Learning). The chip offers lightning-fast processing, low latency and high power efficiency, resulting in smooth operation. In addition, the XDNA 2 architecture excels in parallel processing and task scaling.
Efficient cooling
The EVO-X2 features a unique cooling system with three heat pipes, two large fans for the CPU (Central Processing Unit, the central processing unit) and additional fans for the SSD and RAM. This ensures that even under heavy load, the computer runs stably and quietly. A built-in button allows you to control the RGB (Red Green Blue, the color system used in LED (Light Emitting Diode, light emitting diode) backlights) backlighting. – there are up to 16 modes to choose from.
Reliable wireless connectivity
Use your Mini PC without worrying about interference. WiFi 7 offers speeds of up to 2.9 Gbps with one spatial stream, 5.8 Gbps with two, and as much as 46.4 Gbps with the maximum number of streams – that’s nearly five times faster than WiFi 6E (Extended, an enhanced version of WiFi 6). Such a big difference translates into lightning-fast downloads, stable video conferencing and smooth streaming at 4K (Ultra HD, 3840×2160 pixel resolution) and even 8K (Ultra High Definition, image resolution of 7680×4320 pixels). Bluetooth 5.4, on the other hand, provides a seamless connection to audio devices, accessories or controllers, guaranteeing lower latency and greater range.
Support for four screens
The Mini PC supports four displays simultaneously at resolutions of up to 8K. Ports at your disposal include: HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface, a connector for video and audio transmission) 2.1 (8 Gbps), DisplayPort (digital interface for video transmission) 1.4 HBR3 (High Bit Rate 3, third generation high bandwidth) (8.1 Gbps) and USB4.0 (Universal Serial Bus 4.0, a universal connector for data and power) (40 Gbps), making the EVO-X2 ideal for professionals working with graphics, video and data analysis.
Rich set of ports
The GMKtec EVO-X2 is equipped with a set of connectors that make everyday work easier. The front panel features, among others, 2 USB 3.2 ports with a bandwidth of up to 10 Gbps, 1 USB4.0 port, an SD (Secure Digital, a memory card) card reader supporting the SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity, an expanded capacity SD card) standard, and a 3.5mm CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association, a headphone connector standard) audio connector. On the rear of the chassis are more ports: 3.5mm audio, 2 USB 2.0, 1 additional USB 3.2, another USB4.0, and a 2.5G LAN (Local Area Network) port (8125BG), which guarantees a high-speed wired connection. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports are available for connecting monitors.
